SPTC would like to highlight two students who have received a scholarship from the Oklahoma Traffic Engineering Association. These students have worked hard and we are very proud of them. Congratulations to both of them!

 

Diana Carreno

Congratulations to Diana Carreno, an undergraduate student at the University of Oklahoma! She recently received a scholarship from the Oklahoma Traffic Engineering Association. Diana is a first-generation college student studying Civil Engineering with a focus in Transportation. She has been involved in the following organizations during her time at OU: OU Institute of Transportation Engineers, OU American Society of Civil Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, the Hispanic American Student Association, and Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority. 

 

Khondhaker Al Momin

 
 

Khondhaker Al Momin, OU TLC Chapter President, is passionately pursuing a Ph.D. in civil engineering (majoring in transportation engineering) while working as a graduate research assistant at the University of Oklahoma. He previously worked as a senior lecturer at Daffodil International University and has interdisciplinary academic qualifications in transportation engineering, system engineering, and data science. His research interests encompass diverse areas such as traffic incident analysis and prevention, traffic flow theory, autonomous connected electric and shared (ACES) vehicles, big data analytics, network science, natural hazards, machine learning, and system optimization.
