1st Annual Symposium on Next Generation Transportation Infrastructure Solutions
The first Infrastructure Focused University Transportation Center Symposium will be held in conjunction with the 2026 World Bridge Engineering Conference. Eight UTCs will showcase their most impactful research, workforce development, and technology transfer activities through a dedicated session track, poster session, live demonstrations, and a student competition.
The one-day symposium will consist of a dedicated session track on the second day of the conference that will include 17 presentation slots with each focused on a specific UTC project, a poster session highlighting additional projects not included in the sessions, a student competition that will most likely be 3-minute thesis-style presentations from students in one of the presentation slots, and two exhibit booths. Rules for the 3-minute thesis presentations are forthcoming.
Podium presentations will consist of two University of New Mexico Cycle 1 Research Projects, as well as one joint OU-OSU project. Louisiana State University will also present a poster on their Cycle 2 project, “Durability Assessment of Self-Sensible Ultra High Performance Concrete (S2UHPC) for Infrastructure Rehabilitation Under Extreme Weather Conditions.”
We can’t wait to see you there!
