Major: Computer Engineering

I am a recent graduate of the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics and will be a freshman at Dartmouth this fall. My internship involves updating the Center for Intelligent Transportation Systems’ 8-channel power control module that is used to monitor conditions such as temperature, power outage, and open/close status of various devices. I will be utilizing the embedded Linux based Intel Atom Minnow board MAX to replace the current PIC microcontroller that is being used. Moreover, I will be exploring the capabilities of the new Minnow board MAX and determine its efficiency and possible application in other projects such as video decoding. This experience has not only allowed me to learn more about networking and embedded systems, but has led to me acquire an interest in Intelligent Transportation Systems.
